Before you continue
Deletion signs you out, disables access, and schedules eligible profile, iShare, relationship, message, media, location and account records for deletion or de-identification after a seven-day recovery period. Your permanent iChat number is retired rather than transferred to another account. Copies already synchronized to another participant's device may remain in that person's local history.
If you can still sign in, first use Me → Download my data to export supported account data, contacts, your iShare posts and accessible chat history as structured JSON.
Inside the app
You can also use Me → Privacy & safety → Account & data → Delete account. The same verification and recovery period applies.
